Our sustainable commitments

Convinced that a company only exists and lasts because it creates value for society, Decoroom and all its employees are committed to managing its social, economic and environmental impact.

This approach is validated by the ISO 20121 certification, obtained in October 2020, which allows us to position ourselves today as a major player in sustainable performance in the events sector.

Our ambition is to become the sustainable rental company for event furniture, initiating best practices and driving change in our sector.

1 - Offer the best possible quality of life at work to all employees

Some of the actions implemented :

- Creation of a board with employees of the company to build and share our strategy.

- Setting up of steering committees with employees on various subjects that structure the company.

- Chickens, bees, goats... share our daily life on one of our sites.

- Regular meetings that punctuate the year and help foster social ties.

- Strong awareness of safety in the company to minimize the risk of accidents at work.

2 - Reducing our impact on the planet

Some actions implemented :

- Reuse, repair, reuse, we are committed in 3R in a circular economy approach.

- Use of French or Danish FSC wood, recycled paper, biodegradable film and reusable protective covers for our furniture.

- Recycling of 80% of the waste generated on our premises through efficient sorting and extensive recovery.

- "Objective CO2" label from ADEME. This label rewards our commitment to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions in the long term.

- Internal digitization to reduce paper consumption. 

3 - Be a sustainable player in the market

Some of the actions implemented :

- 50% of the furniture offered for rent is designed in our own workshops or those of our local partners with complementary know-how in an eco-responsible manufacturing logic.

- Responsible purchasing policy: our suppliers are selected for their responsible commitments through a charter that binds us.

4 - Be a player in the local ecosystem

Some actions implemented :

- Setting up local partnerships with reintegration companies and sheltered workshops.

- Partnerships with schools for the transmission of knowledge

- Sharing of best practices between employees, customers and suppliers.
